Apprenticeship in Japan

Here is a little insight into the time during my training in Japan from 2008 – 2011

These were intense years with working days of twelve to fifteen hours, often more. There was hardly any free time, at most one day off per month. In addition to working on bonsai, activities included gardening, workshops, Tokonoma Kazari, Kokufu preparation for exhibitions, but also cleaning, making tea, etc. … just to name a few.

All this gave me a deep insight into the Japanese culture and bonsai world.
